Task Properties: Advanced - Run Programs

You can run an external program either before or after the Task.

Enter the path and program name that should be run before/after running the task. Check ôWait for the program before proceedingö if you want GrandBackup to wait till the program exits before the actual copying starts (or before the Task is considered finished).

Note:
The program can be an EXE or BAT file, or any other file that you can run from the Windows command prompt.

To minimize errors while executing batch files automatically, the following syntax is recommended in the Run Program field:

cmd /c "x:\batch_file_path\batch_file_name.bat",

where x: is the appropriate drive letter.
